This impressive photo was taken in the mid of February when it starts got get over 0° degree Celsius and the ice on frozen Alster starts to melt. I was happy to find a mom with her child on the pier. I could easily convince them to help me luring seagulls with slices of old bread.

After a few throws of bread on the ice we could attract the attention of the birds and could start taking these impressive photos.
